Additional Information

All fees and regular shuttle parking are included in the listed ticket prices. Your daily General Admission Ticket is valid for either a Saturday or Sunday admission date. VIP Parking Passes will get you parking near an Air Show Entrance. Preferred Parking Passes will get you parking a short walking distance away from an Air Show Entrance. The VIP Parking Pass or Preferred Parking Pass is good only for the date purchased.

Shuttle buses will be available to and from the Air Show. Shuttle buses will run continuously beginning at 8:30 AM each show day. Show Gates open at 9:00 AM.

We suggest you bring a folding chair. There will be great viewing locations throughout the Air Show grounds. There will be very limited seating provided at the Air Show. NO COOLERS! There will be plenty of food and drink onsite.

Additional Information

Excluding VIP, Preferred Parking, and Persons with Disabilities (with Plate/Placard/Tag and an assistance device such as wheelchair or walker), all parking will be offsite at the Northeast Fairgrounds located just off Route 315, Suscon Road, 1 mile from Interstate 81 and Interstate 476, Pittston Township, Pennsylvania.

We are pleased to have you as our guests of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Air Show at AVP and will do everything we can to ensure your experience is a safe and enjoyable one. We ask for everyone’s cooperation in keeping potentially dangerous items outside the Air Show grounds.

Please be advised… All individuals coming to the Air Show are subject to search at the Air Show Entrance Gates. In addition, all bags will be inspected at the Entrance Gates. To keep delays to a minimum, remember certain items ARE NOT permitted and may be confiscated (list follows). Confiscated items may not be returned. Finally, all vehicles parking in the VIP, Preferred, Sponsor or Disabled Parking Area (at Airport Entrance Gate 28) are subject to search.

What items are NOT allowed?

The following items are not allowed:

  • Backpacks – Filled (You may bring an empty backpack, which is still subject to search at the Air Show Entrance Gates)
  • Bags larger than a small purse or fanny pack, including duffle bags, briefcases and large camera bags (You may bring an empty bag, which is still subject to search at the Air Show Entrance Gates)
  • Tents, Canopies, Sun Umbrellas
  • Coolers/Ice Chests
  • Outside Food/Beverages
  • Alcoholic Beverages
  • Cans or Glass Containers
  • Pets
  • Weapons (regardless if the individual possesses a permit to carry)
  • Toys that resemble firearms/weapons
  • Fireworks, Laser Pointers, Noise Makers, Air Horns
  • Illegal Drugs
  • Bicycles, Roller Skates, Roller Blades, Hover Boards, Heelies or Skateboards
  • Frisbees, Balloons, Sports Balls, Beach Balls, or any such projectile
  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), also known as Drones
  • Obscene or Indecent clothing, banners/signs, or other materials
  • Any other item(s) that security personnel deem dangerous
What should I bring/wear?

You are welcome to bring the following items:

  • Comfortable shoes
  • Sunscreen
  • Comfortable clothes for a sunny day
  • Ear protection for kids (ear plugs, etc.)
  • Sunglasses
  • Your camera (minus bulky camera bags)
  • Something to sit on (blanket, lawn chair, stroller for children)
  • Money for food, drinks, souvenirs, and tickets (if not purchased in advance)
  • A great attitude and a love for all things aviation related! 😀
What type of tickets are available?

General Admission tickets are $20.00 for adults (ages 13 and up), and $15.00 for youth (ages 6-12).  Youth (ages 5 and under) are FREE!  In addition, military personnel (active duty and veterans) with valid ID are $15.00. These tickets simply get you in the gate to the air show. You may bring a blanket or a chair to enjoy the air show at your leisure. All fees and regular shuttle service are included in the listed ticket prices.

Where can I purchase tickets?

How do I get my tickets when buying online?

When you purchase your tickets online, you need to have an email address ready. Tickets bought online are sent to an email address where you can download and print out your tickets instantly! Be sure you have a working printer handy as well, or a friend that will let you use theirs. If you are still unable to access a printer, there will be a “Will Call” at the air show (front gate only).

When do the gates open?

Gates open at 9:00AM. Static displays, kids zone and exhibits will open at 9:00AM. The parachute jump with the American flag and the National Anthem will be at approximately 11:00 AM. Performers will start immediately after that and continue until about 4:00 PM. We suggest arriving in plenty of time before the performances are scheduled to begin.

Are children free?

Children ages 6-12 years are $15 per ticket. However, children ages 5 and under will be admitted for free!

Do you offer military discounts?

Military personnel (active duty and veterans) with valid ID are $15 per ticket.

Do you offer senior citizen discounts?

No. The only ticket discounts that we offer are the advance purchase discounts for General Admission Tickets. Use the Promo Code RAPTOR1.

Are there any group discounts?

Yes. Group discounts will be offered for advance purchase only for groups of 30 or more. For more information, call (570) 602-2017.

Will tickets be sold at the gate?

Yes, tickets will be sold at the gate.

I can't find my tickets!

Tickets are sent to your email address upon purchase. Either download and print them or simply show them through your smartphone for scanning. Sometimes they get sent to your junk or spam folders, so be sure to check those places to see if your tickets might be in there.

Where do I park?

Directions to the air show can be found under the Parking section on our website.

Is there parking for people with disabilities?

Yes. You must have the appropriate plate, placard or tag in the vehicle and make sure the parkers flagging your vehicle are aware of your status. They will direct you to the area you will need to park in. There will be a separate area for those with motorized mobility devices.  Parking is limited and on a first come, first served basis. Please arrive early to ensure a parking spot.

Where can I stay for the weekend?

There are many great lodging facilities in the area.

Can I bring a scooter/wheelchair/golf cart?

Motorized mobility devices and wheelchairs for people with disabilities are allowed in the air show grounds. Personal golf carts are not allowed.

NOTICE: Please be aware that the crowds may be heavy, maneuvering may be difficult, and that there is no place at the air show to plug in and recharge.

Is there a schedule of events?

We will list our acts, but cannot give a specific schedule since schedules are finalized much closer to the air show and depend on availability and various conditions. Please note that all acts are subject to change/cancellation without notice.

Can I bring a lawn chair or blanket?

Yes! There is no seating included with your General Admission ticket and guests are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. However, no tents, sun umbrellas, or canopies are allowed.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Outside food and drinks are not allowed. There will be plenty of food/drink vendors available on the show grounds.

Can I bring a stroller or wagon for my kids?

Strollers will be allowed; small wagons will not be allowed. Please limit any diaper bags to the smallest you can manage. Security personnel at the gates will search all items and have the final say on what is allowed in.

Is smoking allowed?
There is no smoking allowed on the air show grounds, except in designated areas.

What if it rains?
Unfortunately, there are no refunds, regardless of weather.

Can I bring a sun umbrella?
Sun umbrellas are not allowed.

Are cameras allowed?
Yes, cameras for personal use are allowed. Your camera bags will be checked by the gate security upon entry. Remember that the air show performance and many performers’ acts are copyrighted, and your photography or video cannot be used for commercial purposes.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not allowed onto the air show grounds and should not be left in vehicles.

Because of the festival setting with food and drink vendors, only service animals will be allowed on the air show grounds. Please also understand that temperatures on the tarmac area can easily reach in excess of 100 degrees and can burn a pet’s feet. Plus, the loud noises and explosions can injure their sensitive hearing and/or frighten the animals.

Will there be ATM's?
Yes, there will be ATM’s available.

Will there be shade?
The air show is held under an open sky. You are encouraged to bring hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen lotion. No personal tents, canopies, or sun umbrellas are allowed.

Do I need hearing protection?
The air show strongly encourages you to bring and use proper hearing protection, such as quality earplugs, and especially so for children. The noise from the jet engines and any pyrotechnic explosions may be painful or harmful for some.

Look - Don't touch!
Be careful when you are near airplanes or other displays. Equipment can be easily damaged. Do not touch exhibits unless you have permission from the pilot or owner. Keep your children close and let them know they should not touch anything. No smoking on the air show grounds, except in designated areas.

Is the show the same both Saturday and Sunday?
Generally, yes, the show is the same. However, there may be some variations depending on special aircraft, which may make only a one-day fly-by appearance.

Can I go out to my car and re-enter the show?
Except for emergency purposes only, re-entry will not be allowed once you have left the gates.

Can we watch the show from our car in the parking lot?
No. Even if you have purchased tickets, you must leave your vehicle and view the show from inside the air show grounds. No tailgating is allowed.

Why the restriction on coolers, large bags, and totes?
The FAA and Department of Homeland Security have required us to enforce these rules for your safety. You will be on airport grounds. This is a rule common to all airports, major air shows, and events in the United States.

What is the radio frequency used by the air show?
That information is not released to the general public.
